Our Beaver Scout Colony has members aged 6 to 8. They meet together as a Colony and work within small groups called Lodges. A team of adult volunteers, along with young leaders and parents, run the Beaver Colony to ensure a fun, safe, and adventurous programme.
What Beavers do
Beavers take part in a wide range of activities to learn, explore, and have fun:
- 🏞️ Exploring nature and the outdoors
- 🎨 Creative projects, crafts, and making things
- 🎵 Singing, games, and social activities
- 🧭 Investigating science, technology, and the world around them
- 🤝 Helping others and learning to care for their community
Badges and Awards
Beavers work towards challenge awards and activity badges. With regular attendance and commitment, they can achieve the Chief Scout’s Bronze Award – a significant achievement recognising effort and skill.
Meetings
- Day: Monday
- Time: 18:30 – 20:00
- Location: St Saviour’s School, Fold Road, Ringley
Occasionally, meetings may take place off-site for special activities. Parents will always be notified in advance via OSM, email, or text.
Our Leaders
The Beaver Colony is led by uniformed Leaders Sara & Shaun, supported by helpers and parents from the Parent Rota. Together, they provide guidance, support, and encouragement to every Beaver Scout.

Is Beavers right for me?
Beavers is for everyone. If you have questions about accessibility or additional needs, please speak with your local leader. Adjustments can be made to ensure all young people can fully participate in activities.
Cost
A basic fee covers the hire and upkeep of the meeting place. Extra activities, trips, or camps may be charged separately. Support is available if cost is a concern — just ask your local leader.
